Lighthouse Solutions applies its mission and ideas to all aspect of our services, and although we prefer to tailor what we offer to the exact needs of our clients, we do offer some basic 'packages' or 'services' to give you an idea of what is included in a typical service appointment. Every package, regardless of its nature, comes with our four guarantees:

• We guarantee that you will not be charged for anything other than our hourly wage plus materials consumed during service.
• We guarantee that our initial consultations are always free.
• We guarantee that if, within thirty days, a problem arises due to our work, we will repair it free of charge.
• We guarantee that we have no partnerships with any companies, and will never attempt to sell you hardware or software.

Our services tend to fall into one of the following categories (although we do much, much more besides this):

System Optimization:

If your Microsoft system is running slow, it's likely because of basic problems like background services, spyware, ad-ware, malware, pop-ups, and registry-rot. Although none of these are difficult problems to correct, they are all hidden from view in the Microsoft windows environment. Lighthouse Solutions technicians will quickly (within 4-6 hours, often less for light optimizations) clean, clear, and repair your system to a level of performance exceeded only by a full system wipe.

If you have a Linux host that is running poorly, it is usually due to poorly installed drivers, an unoptimized xorg.conf file, or poorly managed daemons running in the lower runlevels. Lighthouse Solutions technicians can examine and diagnose these problems and provide tailored solutions to your customized system, without reducing your precious install to nothing.

Virus Removal and Recovery:

Sometimes you can remove a virus. Sometimes it's spread so far into your system that it's simply not feasible to do so. Lighthouse Solutions firmly believes that you do not have to lose everything just because a virus has ruined your windows install. Using whatever tools necessary we will remove the virus from your system. First we will attempt to isolate and remove the virus without disrupting your current installation. If it is impossible to remove the virus in that manner, will use a sandbox-style method to delicately remove all of your uninfected files from your system before completely reinstalling your operating system and all your programs, and, as a bonus, optimizing your system while we are at it.

As Linux hosts rarely suffer from virus problems, Lighthouse Solutions does not have a standard protocol for dealing with them. However, if you find that your system has been infected with a virus, we will utilize similar techniques to those used with Windows hosts.

Network Consultation and Setup:

Want a new network? Don't know what you need? Don't know what it will cost? Lighthouse Solutions specializes in small network construction for basic and specialized systems and needs. And, of course, we do it all at the lowest possible cost to you, from initial consultation, to equipment purchase, to installation. We will make sure that you have a network that is responsive, feature-rich, and capable of every need you have.

And, of course, our networks are compatible with any system capable of interfacing with standard Windows and Linux networking protocols.

Infrastructure and Cost Reduction Consulting:

We LOVE to save people money at Lighthouse Solutions. It's just good business for us, and it results in a large portfolio of satisfied customers. How do we do it? We take a look at what you have spent already (hopefully not a lot), what you need your system to do, and what alternatives are available to acheive your goals. Then we present you with a proposal of low-cost (or no-cost) alternatives, saving you hundreds or potentially thousands of dollars, while still giving you as much (if not more) functionality than you would have gotten previously.

Software and Hardware Setup and Installation:

For most things, if you want it installed or put together correctly, you hire a professional. With the rates that technical support companies usually charge, however, it's just not usually feasible. As a result, systems are often not set up optimally, with security holes, improper settings, and reliability issues.
